Honey Cocaine

Honey Cocaine (born Sochitta Sal on October 22, 1992) is a Canadian recording artist, rapper, and songwriter. Honey was born in Ottawa, Ontario and raised in Toronto, Ontario. One of Honey first rapper she ever heard was Tupac. She began writing poetry at the age of 6, and then at age 11 she started hitting the studio. Her stagename “Honey Cocaine” was created as her image meaning “sweet and addicting.” “Honey is the filling inside”, while “Cocaine is the raw outside”, in reference to both the drug, and to the way most people can feel about her.

Honey Cocaine was discovered by Tyga after making a YouTube video of herself doing a freestyle rap to one of Tyga songs called “Rack City.” Then Tyga co-signed her and invited her on tour with him. Shortly, she began to receive recognition with her debut collabo “Heisman” featuring Tyga. In the early March of 2012, she was shot while riding in a van, presently after she and Tyga performed at a concert in Omaha, Nebraska. Honey Cocaine, Tyga and company were followed by a black four-door sedan as they drove away from the venue, which soon opened fire on their vehicle. Nevertheless, a bullet only grazed her right arm, and she was treated and shortly released from the hospital.

Around the late 2012, Honey Cocaine featured on Tyga’s ‘Well Done 3’ mixtape, which was his third installment of his ‘Well Done’ series.
